VP’s Halloween Decorating Contest: Thank You for Helping Us Grow!
Vincent Patrick Realty’s 2021 Halloween Decorating Contest was a huge success! Last year we had 14 houses participating in the contest. This year we totaled 50 decorated homes and businesses in Garrettsville, Mantua, Aurora, Streetsboro, Ravenna, Windham, and Newton Falls. Voting took place from October 18th until October 31st. At one vote per person, we totaled 574 votes! We appreciate all the contestants and voters! We had fun checking out all the awesome decorations, and we hope you did too! We are going to continue to grow this event!
We want to congratulate our winner, Lacy Hacker, at 948 2nd Street in Newton Falls. House #10, Hacker Haunt, had impressive decorations. The majority of the props were homemade. Lacy is the winner of our local business prize pack. This includes: $25 gift certificates to Garrettville’s Cinema, Dairy Queen, NAPA Auto, Main Street Sub Shop in Mantua, and Ravenna’s Sunshine Cupcakes Etc. Also a gift card to Garrett’s Mill and Advanced Auto Parts Carwash Kit! Thank you to the local businesses who participated in decorating and voting! We appreciate your time and contributions.

Lacy Hacker is a stay at home mom of four and lives in Newton Falls. She has been decorating for Halloween for the last six years. When asked if the neighbors complained or complimented, she said, “They all love it!” Her favorite Halloween decoration is the chicken wire ghost set. Most of the decorations are homemade, well thought out and created. She said people drove by to check out her decorated yard more than ever before! She thanks everyone who took the time to checkout her house and voted for her! We invited her to decorate for VP’s Trail of Lights. Lacy said, “I’ve won the Christmas Decorating Contest in Newton Falls for the last two years, back to back!” We are excited to see #10 in our Holiday Light Trail!
