Halloween Trail Participation and Results
Vincent Patrick Realty’s 2023 Halloween Decorating Contest was a huge success! This year we totaled 44 decorated homes and businesses in Garrettsville, Mantua, Streetsboro, Ravenna, Windham, Newton Falls, and Hinckley. Voting took place from October 17th until October 31st. At one vote per person, we totaled 550 votes! We appreciate all the contestants and voters! We had fun checking out all the awesome decorations, and we hope you did too!
Our top two winners were a very close call! They were the top two for fan favorite, as well as the top two for judges pick. All of the winners will receive a complimentary stay at an Airbnb in Cleveland, Garrettsville, or Gulfport, Florida from Enjoy Your Journey Stays and a gift card to Home Depot.

Halloween Trail Judges Feedback- The Judging Dilemma
We have had so much positive feedback. Thank you for your kind words, we love this event and it’s so rewarding to know everyone else enjoyed it, too!
Some feedback we received from last year was to include a judge panel for voting. We decided to try a judge panel. Finding the judges was a challenge. We had people commit to judging but then decided to back away because the trail was so long. In the future, we would like to reevaluate having a judge panel. If you know anyone who would be interested in judging, please reach out to us.
Thank you to one of our judges, Bekah’s son, Ali. Ali is three years old, and his best friend is “Maddie”. His favorite Holiday is Halloween. He loves all of the decorations, costumes, and The Nightmare Before Christmas. His favorite snacks are apples, Cheese Itz, and Juicy Juice! He had his snacks ready to go and was excited to check out all of the “spoooooky” decorations. He went to check out his favorite house three times!
Thank you to our other judge, Matt Tyrell. We really needed another judge- Matt reached out to us and offered to judge the trail and take pictures of the participating houses using his drone! This year’s feedback- We will do better
We received feedback that some people did not want to share their contact information to vote. We ask for phone numbers and emails for voting because it’s a lot of money to host this event (signs, marketing, admin time, people driving to deliver and pick up signs, prizes, etc.). We are a growing business out of Garrettsville and the Cleveland area. The money we make off of the leads we generate from this event goes directly back into our community-based events. We host and participate in many community events. We host the Halloween Trail, Holiday Light Trail, Outdoor Movie Night, Easter Egg Hunt, Agent Training, Giveaways, and many other community events years around. We appreciate your referrals and sharing our events!

If you’re up for it, sign up for the 2023 Holiday Light Trail HERE. Sign up NOW through December 12th. Voting will take place from December 15th through December 28th. Winners will be announced December 29th, right before New Years!
